Movie Monday: Bossy and Cusha arrive!
Good morning everyone, boy, do I have a special treat for you today!!!
On Sunday the village received our new milking jersey named Bossy and her calf, Cusha. We are leasing Bossy from her owner, with the potential of purchasing Cusha in the future.
Bossy mooing ‘hello!’ to the camera from in front of the barn and her new paddock…
And Bossy’s calf Cusha, looking super gorgeous with her alluring Bambi eyes. Sure to distract the interns this summer!
The milking started this morning and I scored some fresh milk for my porridge. Yum! Really, life couldn’t be better here on the farm!
Both of the names are traditional cow names that we found in the book The Family Cow
by Dirk van Loon. Through my searching about though… I learned that Lisa is a traditional cow name in Germany…
On that note, let’s watch the movie, shall we?

Congratulations! What lovely additions to the ecovillage! I’m so excited to meet them…
Thanks Lara!
You will love them, their eyes are as deep as pools.
By the way… the tree frogs are back. Yay spring!
I am so jealous! I have been contemplating a cow, but I know I can’t commit to one yet. If you ever have extra milk, have you thought of a cowshare program??!!!! I’ll just live vicariously through Bossy and Cusha;-)
Thanks for your interest, but we aren’t offering a cowshare programme.
They are beautiful! Big, peaceful, and watchful.
Wow! There’s nothing like tasty fresh milk. I like the music choice for the video too.
Thanks Nina, I’ve passed that on to Justin…
hello
can anybody give me addresses of the trading dairy cow?
thanks
