Movie Monday: Light of Life
I always find news to be a little depressing, especially these days. Kentree sent me this vid, and at the beginning I heard “the news man voice” and felt the impulse to turn it off… and then? And then it got good. Really. Good.

I LOVE THIS!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for making my day brighter!!! :p
I love this! What a great idea!! I will disseminate it to other third world countries as much as I can.
A COMMENT ON “DEPRESSING NEWS”.
The text by the person who published this video starts by saying “news are depressing, especially now days” and I think it’s an opportunity for me to express my view on that.
Too many of the things in the world going wrong are happening precisely because most people find them distasteful, depressing, painful, to look at.
People immediately are under the wrong impression thinking “I can’t do anything about it, and therefore, I don’t even want to look at it”…… and so those things are kept out of sight and out of mind, perpetuating a wrong.
THE SOLUTION is to train our mind to be open to absolutely everything, the positive as much as the negative, with the conviction most problems have a solution.
The very fact we feel pain at watching something unjust happening, makes us alive and shows our human concern, so we shouldn’t waste it, we can be empowered by following our impulse to do something about it.
If the TV Networks showed real scenes of the carnage of war, most people wouldn’t support it, wouldn’t glamorize it and there would be less wars.
The same with poverty. It’s only when we identify with someone caught in it that we try to help.
The trick is to find a personal spot in our heart that finds a new “normal” to see the bad in life without being “depressed”, and instead feel empowered to do something about it.
CONSCIOUSNESS IS ACTION.
Once we are aware of something, sooner or later we react to it, depending how badly affected we may be by today’s paralyzing Corporate Society that has brainwashed us to feel insignificant as an individual separated from our fellow human beings.
So let’s allow EVERYTHING IN, and rejoice on the sublime and allow your compassion drive you with the painful. Pain has a positive purpose too.
