Victoria Seedy Saturday 2014

seedy saturday2014

Seedy Saturday is the sort of event you go to to pick up a packet of kale seeds and leave with a lemon tree, strawberry plants, tomato starts, and a much greener thumb than you went in with. It’s always an inspiring, engaging, and inspirational event, and we can’t wait to be a part of it this year! We’re looking forward to seeing lots of OUR wider community there as well.

Here’s everything you need to know to join us:

Sat 15th, 10am – 4pm at the Victoria Conference Centre, and hosted by the James Bay Market Society. Victoria’s annual annual Seedy Saturday is a community seed and garden show with 60+ exhibitors of local/BC seeds and plants of all kinds, speakers, seed exchange, kids’ activities, books, information displays, food and garden products. New this year is a Garden Book exchange, so bring your unwanted gardening books for ¬†donation, exchange or sale. Proceeds go towards the people’s choice for the best scarecrow on display, made by elementary school students. You’ll find lots of inspiration, networking and education! $7 at the door, under 16 free. Details at www.jamesbaymarket.com/seedysaturday.
