Hi, my name is Jennifer, the new volunteer coordinator. I hail from the green shores of Ireland and am loving being here at O.U.R. Ecovillage and on Vancouver Island in general, it is such a beautiful place 🙂 Volunteers are a incredibly important part of life here at O.U.R., whose input into the many different projects onsite is greatly appreciated.

What can volunteers expect from O.U.R? A chance to learn, to grow, to share information, the opportunity to build deep relationships with the many amazing people and to have fun.

As we move out of the winter season and into spring there are a lot of things that are happening here at O.U.R. Event prep, planting, weeding, and mulching, to name but a few. We are currently blessed to have two wonderful volunteers helping us at the moment, Anick and her daughter Eva Luna from Quebec and Alan from Shawnigan Lake. Without O.U.R.  volunteers it would be difficult to get everything that needs to be done, done, so I would like to send out a big thank you and a lot of appreciation for O.U.R. current volunteers and the just departed students from Pearson College and Mateo from Belgium.

So, anyone that is interested in volunteering and immersing themselves in a sustainable, living community please contact me at volunteer@ourecovillage.org with a short description of why you would like to volunteer at O.U.R. and a resume.
