- Learn to create fabulous food and ornamental gardens without pesticides and other harmful chemicals
- Become a SOUL Organic Master Gardener and share your knowledge with others through mentor-ship programs, workshops, talks and many other creative ways.
- Gain essential organic gardening skills to start or enhance your own business in the rapidly growing organic land care industry
- Earn generous Continuing Education Credits to maintain your industry certifications (ISA, CNLA, BCSLA, SOUL, BC Provincial Pesticide Applicator).
Everyone is welcome. No previous experience required. Just come, learn and have fun.
-
O.U.R. Ecovillage is very pleased to have partnered with Gaia College and have Heide Hermary actually teaching the Organic Master Gardener here. This is a very unique setting for Gaia College as it is not only an organic farm but also a 25-acre sustainable village demonstration site and education center.
We welcome volunteers who wish to work on practicum hours in relation to any of the diploma, or other Gaia College courses. Residential options also exist for students who are interested in a full-featured community life experience.
-
The SOUL Organic Master Gardener program follows in the footsteps of the highly successful Master Gardener programs in North America.
Organic gardening practices are based on the understanding that we are but stewards of the land, and can at best hope to work with nature, never to dominate it.
