Hello to all of OUR dear friends and collaborators. This has been the most incredibly challenging and yet the most incredibly potent with possibility Spring that we can remember (maybe we say that on a yearly basis?) – and the journey of COVID-19 has continued to teach us all the powerful ability to live into “deep adaptation’.

OUR Newsletter installation this month includes the full “Educational CSA; Community Supported Agriculture Food Box” newsletter so that you can get a window inside what the 20+ folks in the Village have been up to this year already. We welcome you to let us know if you wish to join us virtually with anything we are doing as we work to film, broadcast, and outreach as much of OUR work in ‘resilient community design and deep adaptation’ right now as we can.

The group of us who are onsite have agreed to be together for 4 months in a journey to re-designing OURselves into a ‘social experiment’ which focuses on 1) low impact living [smaller environmental/social footprint ], 2) diminishing our consumption and waste streams which come from this, 3) immersion in cooperative culture building, 4) building leadership capacity, and 5) re-defining ‘value’ and beginning the journey of leaving behind the unhelpful ways of designing the worth we attach to people [ourselves included], processes, and place [and all that is contained in places].   Stay tuned with OUR posts to witness the journey of personal and collective transformation we are fully documenting…..and are sharing around the world.

Last notes:  if you are wishing to join OUR CSA, or can come for a ‘safe social connection zone’ visit…..please consider bringing; 1 gallon jars/egg cartons (desperate), mason jars, and the loan of a ‘Serger sewing machine’.

Please let us know if there are other ways you wish to connect, wish for us to work with you on, and read on for ways to ATTEND OUR NEW SLOW FOOD DRIVE-THRU !

Land acknowledgment

OUR ECOVILLAGE is situated on unceded Indigenous lands. The Coast Salish Peoples are the guardians of these lands and waters where we live, work, pray, and play. Quw’utsun (Cowichan) is a historical place of gathering and Na’tsa’ maht Shqwaluwun/”one-heart one-mind” for many Indigenous peoples.

OUR ECOVILLAGE is committed to regenerate land and all ecosystems while acknowledging and respecting Indigenous knowledge that ensures thriving for all beings; we call this Permaculture.

OUR ECOVILLAGE is dedicated to continuously educating ourselves and our communities about the history and peoples of OUR bio-region, to assist in decolonization and re-villaging as a path towards peacemaking, from local to global.
