Today’s dessert treat for the Lifestyle boxes are profiteroles! Pronounced pro•fit•e•roles, they are made of choux pastry, a mixture of milk, butter, sugar, flour, eggs and water. When put into the oven, they rise up to make a very fluffy pastry.
Then comes the vanilla cream, which is swirled in between layers of the pastry. Usually, I drizzle chocolate on top for a nice finish!
These can be served at room temperature or frozen. A very light treat that’s great for hot days!
