Part of the Soul Food Series
What does it mean to return to the earth — on our own terms, in our own way? Join us for the first event in OUR Ecovillage’s Soul Food Series: a farm-feast brunch, 30-minute film screening, and open community conversation about the natural and conservation burial movement.
Sunday, June 14, 2026
Brunch at 11am | Film & conversation to follow
OUR Ecovillage, 1575 Baldy Mountain Rd, Shawnigan Lake, BC
$39 per person (farm-feast buffet + film)
The film Natural and Conservation Burial: A Living Legacy (30 min) explores the growing movement toward green burial practices — returning to the land with minimal ecological impact and deep intentionality. Following the screening, filmmakers and advocates Penny Allport (Moving Ceremonies) and Kim Holl (Centre for Earth and Spirit Society) will lead an open panel discussion and community conversation.
This event is presented in partnership with Stories Told on Film, Centre for Earth and Spirit Society, Moving Ceremonies, and OUR Ecovillage, as part of OUR’s new Soul Food Series.
