OUR COOPERATIVE REPORT

OUR COOPERATIVE REPORT

February 10, 2018 Brandy Community Events - Partners OUR News 0

This is the year of ‘partnership’!! Some we have shifted and changed the paradigms within…..AND amazing new partnerships have been kicked off to herald in 2018 with a new feel. With spiritually inspired youth programs to full swing on “Closing the Loop on Affordable and Healthy Housing” (Federal Government) – OUR team has been working together in harmonic creativity!!
With Elke, Caroline, CM, Carolyn and others back on OUR team we seem to be flying through completing projects over the slow season. So many little details, painting and repairs are all lovingly being put into place. Many upgrades have been done to OUR buildings as January was the only time we have not been booked solid. It is also exciting to be working with lots of OUR comrades from 2001+ onwards who have been a major part of the legal and regulatory efforts we have been working on in order to have all of OUR projects, as widely as possible throughout BC if not Canada, be part of a larger movement towards policy/legislation/protocols for change.

With this in mind we are kicking of the year with a new tag line; “Lawful Permaculture”. This is meant to speak to the reality that though all projects such as composting toilets and reuse of rainwater for potable water has not been specifically ‘illegal’ there was no actual law which dis-allowed it. Great play on words and it already has a new realm of industry and stakeholders reaching out to us to understand more about permaculture and the logic ladder of ‘greening’ the process of systems and sustainable design.

It has been really great to welcome in the Baha’i Youth Institute for a series of residential camps over this coming year and even into 2019. We have been so privileged to host an awe inspiring Winter Camp with approx 40 folks registered to 5 days. With a curriculum focused on ‘service to humanity’ and bringing together unity within not only the youth community (of great diversity) but also within the world! Such loving and deeply heartfelt conversations, prayerfulness, and the practice of prayer and demonstration of daily virtues. We all felt transformed. Change was humanly and spiritually noticed in all OUR teams feedback – and outstanding feedback came from the full organizing team!

We are already sitting with a full year of bookings for 2018. Wonderful weddings, gatherings, and former/new team members jumping in. OUR team is working with folks and organizations who wish to help their family/friends/workplace/or business shifts gears in their thinking somewhat further into living lightly on the planet – and this is a beautiful way to bring them into an ‘immersed learning environment’ for their event.

Really big news is OUR with the United Nations new “Sustainable Development Goals” and the intent to align OURselves and as many government/organizational/business colleagues as possible for the 2030 projections. By Livestreaming out to as many folks around the world as possible, and bringing in some of the United Nations trained team and Gaia University rockstars….we are lined up to have an incredible path forward for OUR year of sustainable living trainings!

Stay tuned…..lots more details coming next month for the courses.
